TERRAPRINT

Minimizing our impact on the environment, maximizing our impact in the community.

In 2024, Terrapin Beer Company and Orvis teamed up in a powerful collaboration to support the health and preservation of the Chattahoochee River through the Quality Hooch campaign. This partnership unites Terrapin’s commitment to sustainability, including their water-saving initiatives and eco-friendly practices, with Orvis's dedication to conservation and making the outdoors more inclusive.

As part of the campaign, proceeds from Terrapin’s Quality Hooch ale will go directly to Chattahoochee Riverkeeper, supporting their vital river restoration and conservation programs. For over 30 years, CRK has been safeguarding the waterway and its ecosystem, ensuring the river remains a thriving resource for generations to come.

Join us in raising a glass to the Chattahoochee and be part of a movement that’s preserving our natural heritage, one sip at a time.

Environment

Water

Through our Wastewater Pre-Treatment Facility and other conservation programs, we reduce our impact on the local watershed and save approximately 3 million gallons of water per year. We also proudly partner with Marine Debris Tracker to collect data and reduce plastic pollution in our waterways.

Energy

The 720 panel solar array on the roof of our brewery offsets roughly 30% of our energy consumption. This accounts for all of the energy we use during the brewing process, making our beer solar brewed!

Soil

We divert 100% of our spent brewer’s grain and yeast from the landfill. Some is given to local farmers to use as livestock feed, and the rest is composted and returned to the brewery landscape to enrich the soil.

Resource

We package 95% of our beer in infinitely recyclable aluminum cans instead of hard-to-recycle glass bottles, and use recycled material for our wraps, case stackers, and 4-pack ringers. We also partner with organizations like Can I Recycle This? to reduce waste and prevent pollution.
