The date was March 15th, 2020 at around 9 in the morning. That was when we found out we would be closing our Tasting Room indefinitely along with the rest of the world. It was a sad day filled with a lot of uncertainty of what the future would hold.

But today, April 16th, 2021...we can finally say those magic words. We're open.

Today we opened our doors and our taps to allow fellowship in Athens, GA Tasting Room once again. We had hundreds of people come from all over. While most were within an hours drive, one gentleman woke up at 3am this morning to drive 9 hours all the way from Maryland to enjoy a cold Rye Pale Ale from the brewery.

"It was time." President of Terrapin Beer Co. Dustin Watts said. "It was important for us to wait until the right time to re-open. We wanted to do it right, and make sure we could provide a safe place for everyone to come and enjoy a beer once again." Looking around tonight at all of the Terrapin family from employees to consumers...we can say with confidence it was the right time. Welcome back.
