From a young age he drew inspiration from a wide range of sources, including comic books, surf art, and pop culture. “For Depth Perception, the goal was to create some sort of optical illusion and pull in imagery that was parallel to psychedelic and Grateful Dead culture.
“For Luau I wanted to riff on one of my favorite images, Rick Griffin’s “Hawaii Aoxa” for the Grateful Dead. It perfectly captures imagery from the psychedelic era and an iconic surf art vibe.”
