Meet Martha, our Marketing Product Coordinator (pictured here with her husband Taylor). She’s been a part of the Terrapin Tribe since November of 2013! She’s in charge of merchandise at the brewery and for our distributors. She also manages our online gift shop, and would like to remind y’all that you get free shipping when you spend $100 😉 She brings a bubbly personality and a great work ethic to the Marketing Department, and the company as a whole!

Martha’s hobbies include: “cooking, watching baseball, going to dog parks and the tour with Otis- the reigning most amazing dog of all time, camping, going to see live music with my husband Taylor, enjoying Athens in general because it’s a beautiful city!” She also loves traveling on weekends (often up to Asheville) and drinking Goses.

What’s your favorite Terrapin beer? I love Watermelon Gose! I love seeing Terrapin coming out of their IPA comfort zone and crushing a gose… it’s SO GOOD.

What’s your favorite way to drink Terrapin: Drinking Terrapin at a Terrapin-sponsored event. It makes me very proud to be under the turtle shell and to see how far we’ve come!

What’s your life motto? It ain’t what you got, it’s what you make.

If you could visit any brewery, where would you go? Russian River or Lost Abbey. I am a big fan of almost everything coming out of California. They are killing it (with Georgia in a close second, amiright?!)

What’s one piece of advice to someone looking to get into marketing in the craft beer industry? Be patient, expect the unexpected, and be flexible. Be prepared to work hard, and you’ll find a lot of joy in your job. The great thing about marketing is that your successes are either very visible or tangible. It’s easy to feel great about your accomplishments and seeing how much people like what you’re doing!

When you’re not drinking Terrapin, what’s in your hand?  Sparkling brut rose! And water. Anything refreshing, because this is Georgia and it’s 150 degrees all the time.

What’s a fun fact about yourself? I was cool enough (only one time) to go backstage at a big concert, and I ended up meeting Colonel Bruce Hampton and shooting nerf guns with the band, which included members of Widespread Panic. NBD.

What is the Terrapin Tribe?

When Terrapin started it was a small group of employees… our Terrapin family if you will. Terrapin has grown at an amazing rate and that family has grown to include not only more employees, but also partners and collaborators such as Jittery Joe’s and Osprey. Each new contributor brings with them families of their own and the Terrapin family has become a group of many we now affectionately call the Terrapin Tribe.

In this series, we’ll introduce you to the hardworking individuals who make up the Terrapin Tribe. Dedicated contributors who work both in the spotlight and behind the scenes to collectively make Terrapin beer Co. the brewery it is today, and shape what it will be tomorrow.
