Nothing goes with dinner better than a good beer. But in the culinary world, pairing the proper beer to the menu being served is no less sophisticated an art as picking the proper wine. To bring the beauty of beer/food pairing to the average home cook, the Athens Banner-Herald’s Andre Gallant sat down with Dean Neff, executive chef of local dining establishment Five & Ten, for ideas on how to best pair Terrapin’s seasonal releases with classic fall dishes.
Neff took some tastes of our Pumpkinfest, Moo-Hoo Chocolate Milk Stout, and the brand-new Liquid Bliss Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter and, after identifying each beer’s strongest characteristics, shared his expertise by suggesting dishes where the flavors between food and beer will be complimentary. Neff even provided a few fantastic cool-weather recipes to try out at home. Grab a few bottles, fire up the oven, and host a memorable autumn feast!
